ProTec Classic Bucky Lasek Skateboard Helmet with 2 Stage Foam Liner

The ProTec Classic Bucky Lasek Skateboard Helmet with 2 Stage Foam Liner version of the classic skate was built in collaboration with Bucky Lasek. Bucky took the Classic Skate and has added his own flare to the helmet. Besides adding two unique shell colors this pro model comes with a sticker kit with all of Bucky's current sponsors. Decorate this lid to look just like the pros. The Bucky Edition is not available in the EPS/XPS version.

By far the most popular skate helmet ever sold. A classic and simple design that has been tested, reviewed and still sits atop of the skate helmet category. Protec has created the Classic Skate Helmet to offer just the right amount of head coverage, but keeps the helmet lightweight with a minimalistic design. The Classic Skate is worn by some of the all time great skateboarders, but is also is often spotted at you local skate park. This helmet is also a regular in the Roller Derby and Inline Skate scenes. Pro-tec offers the Classic Skate in a variety of of colors and also offer the Bucky Lasek Pro model.

What are the options for the Protec Classic Skate: Classic Skate vs. The Classic Skate:
Pro-tec decided to make things a little difficult to distinguish with their Classic Skate line of helmets. They actually offer two different types of Helmet protection with the same Classic Skate shell. So from the outside you will not be able to tell a difference from the two helmets without looking inside them. The first "Classic Skate" uses a 2 Stage or EVA foam interior. The second "The Classic Skate" uses a standard EPS/SXP foam interior. Below explains the differences.

Protec Classic Skate (2 Stage of EVA):
The "Classic Skate" helmet is the most popular of the two different helmet versions. With the 2 Stage foam the helmet is extremely lightweight. It is very comfortable to wear and is great in warm conditions. The problem with the 2 Stage is that it does not offer enough protection to be certified. The helmet is classed as a multiple impact helmet so you will not have to replace it as frequently. The helmet will certainly offer protection in case of a fall and is a very popular helmet in skating sports but it is important to understand the different levels of protection offered but the Protec Classic line.

The Protec Classic Skate (EPS/SXP Foam):
The Classic Skate with an EPS foam gives you the same style as the legendary Classic Skate but also offers the certified protection of an EPS foam core. The Classic Skate, with an EPS or SXP as Protec calls it, is certified CE, ASTM and CSPC. So this version of the helmet is great for every sport from Biking to Skating. Pro-tec has come out with their SXP technology which has been rated a multiple impact helmet. This is an extra benefit to the SXP/EPS version that allows you to avoid replacing your helmet after a head impact. (after any major impact it is important examine your helmet and replace if there are any signs of major damage).

The helmet is great, but I DO NOT recommend you buy it off of this site. Yes, it is cheap, but the service is absolutely horrible. I ordered this helmet and there was only 2 colors. Red and Blue. I ordered the blue one. They some how managed to mess that up and send me a red one. I waited until the next day to call them on their business hours. I called about 20 times and they never picked up. It's almost as if they don't want to help you. I am very very disappointed in the site. Do not buy off of here.
