The 2011 Troy Lee/Shock Doctor Knee pads are the talk of the town these days.  These Knee pads are perfect for multiple sports, Snow or Dirt these knee pads perform.  These new 2011 pads extend the hard cap knee down through the shin to give you all the protection you will require. The pads are built from a base layer mesh material that is breathable and light.  The Troy Lee Knee/Shin guards also have  nonslip liners to keep the pads in place when you are biking, snowboarding or skiing.  The X-Fit system holds the pads right where they need to be and they sport an internal high-impact Knee/Shin cap for those times when you really need it.  Like many of the other products newly introduce this year from Shock Doctor and TLD these Knee/Shin pads have the Vent-trak system that moves air through the pads to keep you cool.  The Strats-Foam articulates to your joints and allows the pads to flex as your legs moves in different positions. When we first received the new Troy Lee Designs Protection line, there were a few products that stuck out right away as huge winners for participants of action sports.  These new protective knee pads are truly a new brand of product.  Built from scratch there are no other pads that rival the design and build of these knee pads.  A lightweight design that is built from three or four different materials that come together to offer excellent protection, flexibility and comfort.  Priced as a higher end pad, you definitely get your monies worth with these knee pads.  These pads are excellent as snowboarding knee protection , skiing protective gear and mountain biking/BMX knee /shin pads.  They also would be great for multiple other uses that may require a flexible and tough knee/Shin guard.

I bought these for inline skate training after a pretty good crash. They are light, stay in place even when skating fast. They don't seem to overheat. So far I really like them.
