POC Synapsis 2.0

The POC Synapsis 2.0 ski and snowboard helmet includes a turning adjustment system for improved fit. Despite its low weight it does not sacrifice safety, the manufacturing process of the POC Synapsis 2.0 is unique that it is such a light helmet, just 1 lb. and still adheres to the CE and ASTM helmet safety standards. This is achieved by using POC's ballistic Anti Penetration Barrier, APB. The Aramid is placed between the thin outer shell and the liner during the injection process. This combines the protection of a puncture resistant hard shell motorcycle helmet and the light weight and comfort of a bicycle helmet. The optional visor is included.

The difference between the materials is that SEPP and EPP, unlike EPS do not deform permanently on impact and is therefore suitable to absorb repetitive shocks. Meaning, essentially that an EPS liner will break, distributing the force from the impact throughout the helmet. The EPP and SEPP are similar in that they will also break when the maximum force of impact occurs, but SEPP and EPP have higher stress limits when it comes to breakage and flex.
