POC Receptor Bug Communication

The POC Receptor Bug Communication, ski & snowboard helmet, the same helmet as the Receptor BUG but fitted with an extra safety design that meets communication and audio needs with the installed cell-phone hands free that lets you switch conveniently between your mp3/iPod music player and phone. The sound from the powerful Skullcandy drivers will make you want to wear the helmet instead of your normal head phones also when off the slope. POC has taken the most advanced multi-purpose helmet out there, the Receptor + (plus) and altered it especially for snow sports to make the Receptor Bug. The patented double overlapping shells system lets air in and heat out and protects from sharp objects. Ventilation can also be closed for cold days. The advanced outer shells tough and durable construction provides excellent protection with help from the in-mold liner in polycarbonate and EPS. This helmet has two hard shells, the traditional exterior hard shell found on all POC's snowboard and ski helmets and it is lined with the same military grade Aramid ballistic penetration barrier(APB). The BUG series was derived from POC’s groundbreaking research and products on how to improve protection and performance.

The difference between the materials is that SEPP and EPP, unlike EPS do not deform permanently on impact and is therefore suitable to absorb repetitive shocks. Meaning, essentially that an EPS liner will break, distributing the force from the impact throughout the helmet. The EPP and SEPP are similar in that they will also break when the maximum force of impact occurs, but SEPP and EPP have higher stress limits when it comes to breakage and flex.
