About the Demon Hyper Knee X D3O

The sister pad of the Hyper knee and Shin X, this version of the Hyper X pad is strictly knee protection.  Like the other Hyper X products this is top of the line protection using D3O.  Articulated fit allows for easy movement and multi-sport use.

Ultimate knee protection using ballistic materials including denier, neoprene and super shock absorbing D3O. D3O and a layer of padding is used in the knee locations to offer superior shock absorption. Super low profile, offering flexibility and comfort.

What is D3O and Why do I need it?

D3O is a protective material that is specially designed to be lightweight and withstand high impacts. The construction of the d3o material is flexible and pliable when left alone but at the point of force in the area of an impact the material stiffens to form a hard shell, thus distributing the force of the impact throughout the rest of the material. After the impact force reverberates through the d3o material it again returns to its original flexible form. Since the d3o material is so light and durable it is ideal for body armor and pads, forming to the movements you make when you ride or skate, d3o is an ideal material for any piece of protective gear.

Best knee pad I have owned January 13, 2013

These stay on my knees and have saved me from pain in many crashes.

All other pads I have owned have slid off in crashes.  These don't.
