About Alpinestars:

Alpinestars is a manufacturer of protective equipment for motorcycle and auto racing. The company gets its name from the Italian word "stelle alpine", which translates to "alpine stars". Founded in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo in Asolo, Italy, Alpinestars has offices in LA and Tokyo, with their main office in Northern Italy and today, the company is headed by Sante's son Gabrielle Mazzarolo. Alpinestars started out making hiking and ski boots but moved to focus on mainly boots primarily for motocross racing. In the '90's Alpinestars branched out into manufacturing all types of protective and technical gear ranging from gloves and jackets to full leather suits for motorcycling.
